Nadal Federer to meet....this time?

US OPEN JINX


Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have been participating in US open since 2003 and 1999 respectively, they have met 38 times but never in USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.


Will this be the year that will wash out this jinx of them not meeting in US open. As per the draw if all things goes well in the favour of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, then these two titans will have have the oppurtunity to meet in the final of the US Open for the very first time and ” BOY OH BOY, WHAT A MATCH THAT WOULD BE”. not only for the fedal fans but for every tennis fan all over the world.


 



 

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have 37 Grand Slam titles between them and have clashed 38 times in a mesmerizing rivalry. However, the world no.1 and no. 2 have never met in US Open.


Nadal Leads 23-15 overall and 9-3 at the slams. If they are to meet at the US open this year, it can only be in the finals and Nadal is seeded no.1 and Federer has been seeded two.

Last time Roger won the title in 2008 and Nadal is the defending champion this year, and one interesting fact is that Rafael Nadal has never been able to defend his non-clay title.




I Won the US Open 5 times. So I stand here pretty happuy, to be quite honest. It’s not like, GOD, US open never worked for me. It hasn’t for the last few years, but it’s all good.

Both of These legends have won 1 Grand Slam each this year , Rafa Nadal again conquering his favourite Roland Garros trophy meanwhile Roger Federer won his 20th grandslam in the form of Australian open trophy this January.

Roger Federer believes that Serena Williams "went too far" with her disputable rage at an umpire amid the US Open last.
